Altered Notepad and Pillow Box

Friday, January 25, 2013

Hello and welcome back to the Ribbons Unlimited, Inc. Blog! We have a 'Get Well' project for you today.

I needed a small get well gift for a special neighbor... She loves handmade items so I gathered a few supplies in my favorite colors and went to work. I altered a blank notepad by covering it with a stamped and colored piece of cardstock. I also stuffed a SRM pillow box with paper flowers (which she loves to use when crafting), and tied them up with pretty ribbon;

I've always loved orange and blue combined. I used a 3/4" wide satin ribbon combined with a sparkly blue "Dazzle" grosgrain ribbon to complement my color scheme.

I used clear stickers over the stamping on my tag.  The tag contains a little note on the opposite side, wishing her a speedy recovery;

I wrapped the pillow box in ribbon and tied it into a bow.  I added a button center with tangerine twine;

This is so pretty, I love the way you have made the design match the colours of the pillow box.
